Independence

Advertisers and sponsors have no say over editorial coverage. A business that pays for a listing gets a fuller page, not a better review.

Directory category pages are alphabetical. There is no paid position in them.

Sponsored content

Sponsored stories are labelled at the top of the page, in the list they appear in, and in the newsletter. They are written by our staff, not by the sponsor.

Reviews and recommendations

When a guide recommends a business, no money changed hands for that recommendation. We do not accept free meals or services in exchange for coverage.

Corrections

Factual errors are corrected as soon as we confirm them, with a note on the page. Guides carry an updated date and a next-review date.

Sourcing

We name sources where we can. Tips can be anonymous, but we verify before publishing.
