Babaloo Coffee Club

Babaloo Coffee Club is a small, globally inspired coffee shop at 1425 Winnifred Street, Suite 117, in The Shops at Winnifred in South End. Husband and wife Manny Pérez Ochoa and Carolina Maury opened it in January 2025, and a second, larger location is planned for Rea Farms in south Charlotte in late 2026.

The tiramisu latte is the drink that made the shop’s name, and the matcha program, with seasonal specials like a Snickers matcha, is the other half of the draw. The South End room is tiny and runs mostly on takeout, so plan to grab and go, and expect a line on weekend mornings.
