Menya Daruma is the Japanese noodle counter on East Seventh Street in Elizabeth. It makes its own ramen and soba, and it has developed a real following among Charlotte chefs, which is usually the best signal available. The place is casual, affordable and consistent. Order one of the handmade bowls and do not overthink the rest of it. This is the neighborhood noodle shop that every neighborhood in the city wishes it had.
