Stylus Soundlounge
About
Stylus Soundlounge is the disco noir listening bar next door to Soul Gastrolounge at The Pass, north of NoDa, built around owner Andy Kastanas’ collection of about 40,000 vintage records. It is a cocktail bar where the music is the point and the bartenders are closer to chemists.
It works as the nightcap after dinner at Soul and as a destination on its own for anyone who cares about records. Small, dark, cozy and unlike anywhere else in Charlotte, it draws a mix of Soul regulars, vinyl collectors and people who heard about it from a bartender somewhere else. The Pass, the mixed use building it shares with Soul, sits just north of the NoDa strip, so it is a short drive or a long walk from the neighborhood’s other bars.
