Lift Up Carolinas is the volunteer run nonprofit thrift store on Old Pineville Road, and regulars call it the best thrift store in the city for one reason. Everything is checked before it goes out, so nothing on the floor is shabby. Furniture, fine china, puzzles, yarn, jewelry and clothing fill a clean and organized space.
What to know
- Furniture is the value, with three seat sofas for a few hundred dollars.
- It opens only on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
- Proceeds support the organization’s community work.
- Electronics are tested before sale, though there are no returns.
