Saucy Vegan
About
Saucy Vegan is the restaurant on North Brevard Street that grew out of a food truck. The menu is built on whole food substitutes instead of packaged meat analogues, using oyster mushrooms, walnut meat, hearts of palm, chickpeas and jackfruit. Long time vegans who describe Charlotte as a hard city for them name this as the place that changed that. Most items are made to order, so the food arrives fresh and the wait is worth it. Fresh juice is pressed in house and the plantains are worth adding to any order.
