About
LuLu’s Express is a soul food and seafood restaurant on Tuckaseegee Road in west Charlotte, opened in 2019 by Baltimore native Jay Davis and named for his mother. The restaurant took the LuLu’s Express name in 2023.
Maryland-style crab cakes and crab fries are the calling card. The rest of the menu is soul food platters, including fried chicken, fried catfish, turkey wings and a smothered pork chop, with collard greens, mac and cheese and yams on the side.
