Taste of Soul is a plant-based soul food kitchen on Thrift Road in west Charlotte that operates from a shared commercial kitchen and serves pickup orders. Queen City Nerve readers voted the kitchen the runner-up for Best Soul Food in 2025.
The menu includes a Soul Bowl with grilled mushrooms or a house patty, black-eyed peas, kale greens and candied butternut squash, a barbecue jackfruit plate, vegan mac and cheese and peach cobbler. Orders are placed online.
