Milkbread is a fast-casual bakery and café on Central Avenue in Plaza Midwood, run by Joe and Katy Kindred of Kindred restaurant in Davidson. The space was formerly a Dairy Queen.
The kitchen makes doughnuts to order from tangzhong-style milk bread dough, which gives them a soft, airy texture. The menu also includes crispy fried chicken and breakfast dishes, and there are additional Milkbread locations in Uptown and Davidson.
