The 10 best day spas in the Charlotte area

A spa day in Charlotte can mean a penthouse spa with an indoor lap pool at an Uptown hotel, a 30-minute session in a Himalayan salt room on Park Road or a $3,500 facial in SouthPark. This list covers 10 day spas for massage, facials and body treatments in Charlotte and Cornelius, from hotel spas with lounges and pools to small appointment-only studios. It is for anyone booking a birthday treat, a couples massage or a regular facial, and for gift buyers comparing prices. Medical spas that focus on injectables and lasers have their own list, the best med spas in Charlotte. Entries are listed alphabetically, not ranked.

How we chose

Every spa here was confirmed open in October 2026 through the spa’s own website and current booking or menu pages. Picks are based on independent coverage, including the Forbes Travel Guide, Axios Charlotte’s 2024 roundup of spas and massage studios, Charlotte Magazine’s Best of the Best awards, the Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority’s spa guide, WSOC-TV and Spa & Beauty Today, along with how long each spa has been open and the range of treatments. Awards that appear only on a spa’s own site are left out, and so are medical spas. No spa paid to be included.

KÚR Health Spa

Montford, 3928 Park Rd.

Inspired by traditional European health retreats, KÚR Health Spa on Park Road is a family-owned holistic spa built around non-invasive therapies, according to the business. Spa & Beauty Today pointed to the private infrared suites, the Himalayan salt room, lymphatic drainage massage and free ionized alkaline water in a January 2024 guide to Charlotte spas.

Single sessions start at $29. A 30-minute salt room session is $29, a private infrared suite with aromatherapy is $39 for up to an hour, a 30-minute fascia massage or manual lymphatic drainage is $80 and bio-electric magnetic therapy is $99 for a first visit. There are no facials on the menu.

Credit packs cut the cost further: Refresh is nine credits for $159 and Rejuvenate is 32 credits for $499, both good for three months. The spa is closed Sundays and Mondays.

Le Petit Spa

SouthPark, 6324 Fairview Rd., Suite 101, with a second studio in Ballantyne

Esthetician Priti Patel founded Le Petit Spa in 2010 and still runs the business after 26 years in practice, according to the spa. The focus is skin: the menu has 16 bookable facials, plus peels, microcurrent sculpting, threading, brows, lashes and waxing, and there is no massage menu.

The VIP Founders Membership costs $99 a month, and the money becomes spa credit that rolls over and never expires, with 10% off treatments and products for members. A second studio at 12105 Copper Way in Ballantyne books through the same online system.

Both studios are closed Sunday and Monday, so book weekend facials for Saturday, when hours run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The membership runs month to month and can be canceled before any renewal date.

Modern Salon & Spa

SouthPark, Phillips Place, 6908-B Phillips Place Ct., with locations in Waverly and Huntersville

Arsalan and Arezo Hafezi founded Modern Salon & Spa in 1989, opening the first salon in Colwick Towers before a move to East Boulevard, according to the business, which now has three locations. Arezo Hafezi is the artistic creative director. Charlotte Magazine’s Best of the Best awards named Modern the best salon, best spa and best couples massage in 2010 and the best salon and spa outside the med spa category in 2018.

The spa menu has a custom massage, a Smooth and Soothe exfoliation massage, a cupping fusion massage of 90 or 120 minutes, a salt glow and a back detox treatment. Facials run 45, 60 or 90 minutes, with oncology, men’s and teen facials and three levels of Hydrafacial. Prices are not posted online.

Change or cancel at least 24 hours ahead or the deposit is lost, and arriving more than 15 minutes late can count as a no-show. Children are not allowed in the spa or nail areas.

Nature’s Spa and Wellness

Carmel Road, 6311 Carmel Rd.

Family-owned and appointment-only since 2007, Nature’s Spa and Wellness on Carmel Road grew from a two-room practice, according to the business. Owner Corie Dulken has more than 20 years of experience in massage and skin care. Axios Charlotte included the spa in a June 2024 roundup, and WSOC-TV listed Nature’s Spa among Charlotte’s best spas in 2018.

A 60-minute Swedish or integrative massage is $120, and specialty massages such as hot stone and herbal Thai ball are $145. The three-hour Nature’s Ultimate Spa Package, $475 with a 20% gratuity included, combines dry brushing, a cleansing massage, exfoliation, a body wrap, a lavender salt bath, a relaxation massage with a scalp treatment and a cheese and fruit plate. For the $195 Hour of Gratitude, the spa donates a matching session to a nonprofit serving breast cancer patients and survivors.

Booking takes a $50 nonrefundable deposit per service, which carries over with enough notice, and changes need 48 hours. There is no pool or sauna, and parking is on site.

Palestra Spa & Studio

SouthPark, 3100 Apex Dr., Suite 101

A spa and a yoga studio share space at Palestra Spa & Studio on Apex Drive, and the business says Palestra has served SouthPark since 1995. The Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority’s spa guide pointed to the 60-minute Reiki session and the Hanakasumi body treatment.

A 60-minute relaxation massage is $130 and the signature massage is $150, or $200 for 90 minutes, with Thai, deep tissue and prenatal massage also on the menu. Day packages include the $300 Signature Pause, a massage and facial over 90 minutes, and the $550 Duo-Duo Retreat for two, with gratuity included in each. The studio side runs yoga classes and Friday-night sound baths.

Gratuity is included in most packages, so check before tipping again. Cancel or reschedule with 24 hours’ notice to avoid a charge, and first-time clients may be asked for a deposit.

The Ritz-Carlton Spa, Charlotte

Uptown, 201 E. Trade St., inside The Ritz-Carlton, Charlotte

The bi-level penthouse spa on the top floor of the Uptown hotel is The Ritz-Carlton Spa, rated four stars by the Forbes Travel Guide. Facilities include a heated indoor lap pool, a whirlpool, a steam room, saunas and separate men’s and women’s lounges.

Signature treatments include a 90-minute bamboo massage, a 120-minute body sculpt treatment and a 90-minute facial, with ESPA, Eminence and Biologique Recherche products. The menu also lists Himalayan salt stone, prenatal and couples massages, body wraps and scrubs, and salon services. Treatment prices are not printed on the menu.

Locals don’t need a room. Non-guests can buy a $175 day pass to the spa facilities Sunday through Thursday, according to the spa menu. A 20% service charge that covers the gratuity is added to every service, guests must be 18 or older and valet is free on the day of a treatment.

Savvy Salon & Day Spa

Cornelius, 20430 W. Catawba Ave., Suite 2

Pat Helmandollar opened Savvy Salon & Day Spa in Cornelius in October 1995, in a space that had been a Haircuttery, she told The Best of LKN podcast in 2025. The spa stays in the family: her husband keeps the books, and her daughter helps run operations, according to the podcast.

The 50-minute Surrender massage is $108, or $125 for 65 minutes, and the Fire & Ice detoxifying massage runs about an hour and 40 minutes for $170. Full-spectrum infrared sauna sessions are $20 to $40, or $20 added to any service. Packages range from The Mini Sampler at $134 to The Caribbean Mist Retreat at $389, and the seasonal package this fall is Pumpkin Spice, at $359.

Arrive 15 minutes early to change and relax. Canceling with less than 24 hours’ notice costs half the service price, and credit cards carry a 3% surcharge that debit cards don’t.

The Spa at Ballantyne

Ballantyne, 10000 Ballantyne Commons Pkwy., inside The Ballantyne hotel

The signature Carolina Lavender collection at The Spa at Ballantyne uses regional botanicals, and the menu inside The Ballantyne hotel also covers massage, anti-aging facials, body wraps, nail services and a full-service hair salon. Couples massages take place in a private suite. Axios Charlotte included the spa in a June 2024 roundup of spas and massage studios.

Day passes are not sold, but any treatment of $139 or more includes the relaxation lounges, indoor pool and locker rooms, plus the outdoor pool from April through October except Saturdays and holiday weekends. The men’s menu includes an arnica deep tissue massage and a facial called The Polished Gentleman, Spa & Beauty Today reported in January 2024.

Arrive 30 minutes early. A 20% service charge is added, canceling inside 24 hours costs half the service price and the spa is 18 and up. Parking is validated with a spend of $25 or more.

Toccare Skin Spa

Dilworth, 1419 East Blvd., Suite M (second floor, Twin Oaks Shopping Center)

Esthetician Caci Di Russo founded Toccare Skin Spa in 2013, and Cristina Wilson bought the business in November 2024, with Di Russo staying on as an esthetician, Axios Charlotte reported. At the time, Toccare saw more than 1,000 clients a month. Toccare’s site calls the spa a natural, minimally invasive day spa, unlike a medical spa.

The Ritual Facial is $205 for 60 minutes with a standard esthetician, $145 for 45 minutes or $255 for 90, and senior estheticians cost more. A 60-minute customized massage is $125, $135 for deep tissue, and the 120-minute hot stone massage is $240.

Saturdays usually book six to eight weeks out, and a missed appointment or a cancellation with less than 24 hours’ notice is charged in full. The spa is up a flight of metal stairs with no elevator, and couples massages are not offered.

Toska Spa & Facial Bar

SouthPark, 4401 Barclay Downs Dr., Suite 110

Esthetician Toska Husted founded and owns Toska Spa & Facial Bar, which the business calls a Biologique Recherche Expert Center, pairing European skin care traditions with newer technology. Axios Charlotte described the spa as an upscale SouthPark spot whose owner has celebrity clients in a June 2024 roundup.

The full facial menu starts with the $275 European Classic Deep Cleansing Facial and climb to the $425 Remodeling with Deep Cleanse, the $995 Epic Facial and the $3,500 Toska x Valmont Time Master XL Facial. A Skin Instant Lab analysis measures hydration, elasticity, melanin and oil before treatment, and a 60-minute body treatment is $295.

For less time and money, the Facial Bar menu runs from a $139 hydrating facial to The Works, 45 minutes for $219, without extractions. Call 704-332-8500 for group bookings.
