Davesté Vineyards
About
Davesté Vineyards is a winery on a 60-acre property on Lytton Farm Road in Troutman, in Iredell County. Owners Dave and Esté DeFehr bought the land and planted the first vines in 2004, and the tasting room and art gallery opened in 2008, according to the winery.
The flagship grape is Rkatsiteli, an ancient white variety from the Republic of Georgia, and the Rkatsiteli 2022 won a silver medal at the 2023 N.C. Wine Competition. The property also has an event pavilion, an on-site microbrewery, walking trails and waterfalls, and winemaker Meg Tipton has made the wine since 2020.
