Uwharrie Vineyards & Winery
About
Uwharrie Vineyards & Winery is a winery on Austin Road in Albemarle, in Stanly County. North Carolina magazine counted Uwharrie among the county’s three wineries in 2006, and Visit Stanly describes a visitor complex with a tasting bar, gift shop, tank room and meeting space on a property certified as an Audubon sanctuary.
The list includes fruit wines such as Raspberry, a sweet-tart wine made entirely from raspberries, and private tastings and vineyard tours can be booked. The Heritage Room holds up to 150 guests for private events. The N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services listed Uwharrie among 17 wineries in the wine garden at the 2026 N.C. State Fair.
