South End Farmers Market

About

South End Farmers Market is an outdoor farmers market at Atherton Mill on South Boulevard in South End, across from the Charlotte Rail Trail. The market began as the Atherton Market in 2010 and is now run by a North Carolina nonprofit that manages farmers markets, according to the operator.

About 18 anchor vendors sell pasture-raised pork, beef, poultry and eggs, heirloom produce, non-GMO grits, cornmeal and flour, pierogi and honey, with rotating artisan and craft vendors around them. SNAP purchases are doubled up to $20, and the LYNX Blue Line’s East/West Boulevard station is less than two blocks away.
