US Fried Chicken is a fried chicken restaurant with stores on Albemarle Road, North Tryon Street and West Sugar Creek Road. Jordanian immigrants Mohammad Alweesi and Mohammad Alamreen took over the business in 2019, CharlotteFive reported in 2023.
The chicken is hand-battered with a spice mix imported from Jordan, and in 2023 the menu also had wings, New York-style chicken over rice, kebabs, falafel, sweet potato pie and bean pie. Alweesi told CharlotteFive in 2023 that the chicken is halal.
