Calle Sol is a casual Cuban and Peruvian cafe from Frank Scibelli, the restaurateur behind Mama Ricotta’s, Little Mama’s, YAFO and Midwood Smokehouse. The original is on Thomas Avenue in Plaza Midwood and a second location is on Apex Drive in SouthPark.
It is consistent, affordable and fun, good for a quick weekday lunch and just as good for settling in with friends over ceviche and cocktails. The weekday lunch cafeteria line at the Plaza Midwood location is one of the best deals in the city.
