Dos Caminos is the Uptown Mexican restaurant and bar on South Tryon Street, a large, lively room that fills through the evening and works as well for a drink at the bar as for a full dinner.
Birria flautas, mole short ribs tender enough to cut with a fork, mole enchiladas, carne en su jugo given a modern turn, chicken fajitas, steak tacos, a churro dessert and a margarita served in a ceramic glass you take home. Gluten free and vegan options are marked on the menu. Service runs hot and cold when the room is full, which is the one consistent complaint. Open daily.
