El Puro Cuban Restaurant

El Puro is a modern Cuban restaurant on South Boulevard in Madison Park from the family behind Havana Carolina in Concord. It is owned by Cuban immigrants, and the restaurant is about more than the plate: live music, salsa dancing and an over the top dining room make it a destination for a night out.
The menu updates Cuban classics, and the weekend brunch is one of the more distinctive in the city, with Benedicts built on tostones and croquetas and a guava filled take on French toast.

- Dinner: the ropa vieja with shredded brisket, Creole sauce and congri rice.
- Brunch, Saturday and Sunday: guajiro Benedict with tostones and pork, disco Benedict with croquetas, and torrejas with guava and cream cheese.
- Havana Affair on the last Wednesday of each month: live music, hand rolled cigars, dominoes and whole roast pork cooked en caja china.
