Hometown Escapes is a family-run escape room business on Katy Lane in Fort Mill, South Carolina, where owner Lorie Merrill and her husband have designed the puzzles, according to a 2020 CN2 News report. Every booking is private, so even a party of two plays alone.
Ten 60-minute adventures include Escape the Titanic, Blackbeard’s Cabin, Jailbreak, Wizard’s Academy and a holiday room called Saving Christmas. The rooms aren’t built to frighten, and the business says children as young as 8 can solve the puzzles.
