About
Juicy Dumpling is a Chinese dumpling restaurant at The Boardwalk at University Place, the lakefront shopping center beside UNC Charlotte in University City. Owner FaHong Zhang opened the restaurant in September 2026 in the former Crafty Crab Seafood space.
The kitchen sits behind a large viewing window, where the staff roll dough and wrap every dumpling by hand each day, never frozen. The menu covers soup dumplings, steamed and pan-fried dumplings in pork, shrimp, beef and vegan fillings, pan-fried thumb buns, scallion pancakes, dan dan and braised beef noodles, wontons and fried rice, with dine-in, takeout and online ordering.
