Latta Nature Preserve
About
Latta Nature Preserve is Mecklenburg County’s 1,300 acre preserve on a peninsula in Mountain Island Lake, north of Charlotte in Huntersville. It is the most complete close to home hike in the county, with 16 miles of connected trails, lake views and a nature center. The Carolina Raptor Center operates on the same grounds. The peninsula setting means water is visible from a good portion of the trail network.
