Lawrence Caribbean is a Jamaican restaurant in a concrete-block building on West Boulevard in west Charlotte, opened in 2015 by owner Gavin Lawrence, who was born in Jamaica and grew up in Queens.
The menu covers oxtail, curry goat, jerk and curry chicken, roti and patties, with a bakery case of Jamaican cakes and homemade sorrel and ginger beer. Ackee and saltfish is sold on Fridays and Saturdays.
