Local Loaf

Local Loaf is the NoDa bakery, breakfast and sandwich shop on East 35th Street known for burgers, biscuits and a weekend brunch of omelets, bowls, breakfast burritos and shakshuka. Bread is baked in house and the portions are large.

Steak and eggs, the Kickin’ Chicken sandwich on brioche, pancakes with crisp edges and a bacon, egg and cheese on a biscuit are the orders. It is a counter service room with a patio, open Wednesday through Sunday until mid afternoon, and it packages takeout well enough that the online order is a real option. Parking on East 35th is tight, so most regulars walk over from the rest of NoDa, and the patio out front is the better seat on a mild morning. There is a small bottle shop selection inside, which makes it a lunch stop as much as a breakfast one.
