Neighborhood Theatre is a concert venue on East 36th Street in NoDa, built as the Astor Theatre movie house in 1945 and converted to live music in 1997. The Charlotte Ledger reports a capacity of 956.
A main room hosts touring acts and a smaller room hosts newer ones, with bookings across rock, bluegrass, blues, R&B and hip-hop. Most shows are standing room, and many also sell reserved balcony seats and cocktail tables for guests 21 and up.
