Nellie’s Southern Kitchen

Nellie’s Southern Kitchen is a Southern restaurant on North Main Street in downtown Belmont, owned by the Jonas family and named for Nellie Jonas, the Jonas Brothers’ great-grandmother. The restaurant fills about 10,000 square feet at the corner of Main and Catawba streets.

Chicken and dumplings is the signature, alongside fried green tomatoes, shrimp and grits, fried chicken and mac and cheese. A house band plays in the evenings Monday through Saturday, and brunch is served on weekends.
