About
Petra’s is a bar and music venue on Commonwealth Avenue in Plaza Midwood that opened in 2007 as a piano bar and a haven for Charlotte’s LGBTQ community. The Charlotte Ledger reports a capacity of 100.
The calendar mixes indie bands, cabaret and the Monday Bill Hanna Legacy Jazz Session, and the back room has an art gallery. Queen City Nerve critics named Petra’s the best venue in 2024 and 2025.
