Rai Lay

Rai Lay is the Thai and Asian fusion restaurant on South Boulevard in South End. It is one of the few genuinely good Thai kitchens close to Uptown, and the prices stand out in that neighborhood for being reasonable while the portions do not shrink to match. Service moves fast enough to work on a lunch break. The green curry draws the most praise of anything on the menu, and the spring rolls come out crisp instead of greasy. Basil fried rice and beef pho round out a menu that reaches past Thai cooking alone.
