Sharigato

Sharigato is the chef owned hand roll sushi bar at The Joinery in Optimist Park, opened in 2026. You enter through an unmarked red door and wash your hands at a station by the entrance before taking a counter seat around the chefs. The concept is simple: high quality fish, perfect rice, real grated wasabi and a short menu with no shortcuts anywhere. Miso soup with tofu and radish starts the meal well. The chefs work directly in front of you, so the whole meal doubles as a demonstration of how the rolls are put together.
