Spectrum Center
About
Spectrum Center is the city-owned arena at 333 E. Trade St. in Uptown Charlotte, operated by Hornets Sports & Entertainment. The building opened in 2005 as Charlotte Bobcats Arena and carried the Time Warner Cable Arena name from 2008 to 2016.
The arena is the home court for Charlotte’s NBA team and hosts concerts and touring shows. A $245 million renovation finished in October 2025 added new seats throughout the bowl, wider upper-level seats, concourse bars open to all ticket holders and local food vendors, and brought basketball capacity to 19,444. The WTA Finals are scheduled at the arena from 2027 through 2029.
