Tamales La Pasadita
About
Tamales La Pasadita is the no frills Mexican restaurant on The Plaza, next door to Grey’s Diner, that serves some of the best Mexican food in the city with the menu entirely in Spanish and a counter where you order and take a seat. It operates under the name Taqueria Gaviota Latina, which is what the sign, the receipt and the website say.
Tamales are the namesake, three with rice and beans for under $10, in pork, chicken, cheese and sweet versions, plus tacos, tortas, tostadas, huaraches and breakfast plates. The red sauce is hotter than the green.
