The Mad Greek of Charlotte

The Mad Greek of Charlotte is a Greek restaurant on South Boulevard in Madison Park. The spot opened in 1991 as a diner and became The Mad Greek in 2008, Charlotte Agenda reported, and Kostas Pitsonis and his son Yianni took over in 2024, according to the restaurant.

The menu has gyro pitas and platters, moussaka, rack of lamb and a Tour of Greece sampler, plus burgers and cheesesteaks. Charlotte Agenda named The Mad Greek to a 2019 list of the city’s best Greek restaurants.
