The Smoke Pit

The Smoke Pit is the south Charlotte location on Providence Road of the Concord barbecue institution. This one has table service instead of the order at the counter line of the original, which makes it easier with a group. Portions regularly send people home with a second meal. Brisket surprises people who did not expect it this far from Texas, and the sides run to sweet potato casserole, fried okra and cornbread served as a chunk instead of a slice.
