The Study Food Social is a café on the ground floor of the Howard R. Levine Center for Education at The Pearl, the innovation district in Midtown that houses Wake Forest University School of Medicine’s Charlotte campus. Restaurant Associates opened the café in September 2026, and the café is open to the public.
The kitchen makes omelets, buttermilk pancakes and pastries for breakfast and soups, burgers, sandwiches, bowls and a salad bar for lunch, with grab-and-go food and kiosk or online ordering. Coffee comes from Change Please, a nonprofit that trains people experiencing homelessness as baristas, and the café seats 40 inside plus a patio.
