Zanzibar Cafe is a restaurant on North Tryon Street, north of Uptown, that was serving Liberian food, despite a name that points to Tanzania, when Charlotte Agenda included the cafe in a 2017 roundup of the city’s African restaurants.
In 2017 the Liberian dishes included potato greens, fufu, bitterball and jollof rice, alongside an American side menu of burgers and wings.
