The 10 best indoor play places for kids around Charlotte

Indoor play around Charlotte runs from trampoline courts and a ninja course in University City to an 11-slide park in south Charlotte, a play café for babies and toddlers near Highland Creek and a Waxhaw studio built around sensory-friendly play. This list covers 10 places in Charlotte, Pineville, Matthews, Cornelius, Waxhaw and Rock Hill, with toddler sessions from $12 and jump passes up to $35. It is for parents of toddlers looking for a rainy-day morning, families with school-age kids who need to burn off energy and anyone planning a birthday party. Five are national or multi-state chains and franchises, and five are locally owned businesses. Entries are listed alphabetically, not ranked.

How we chose

Every place here is a trampoline park, slide park, indoor playground, play café or sensory play studio that showed dated 2026 evidence of being open, most often a 2026 county food-service inspection or posted October 2026 hours and events. Picks are based on what each venue has for different ages, posted prices, toddler and sensory-friendly options, rules on socks, waivers and supervision, and coverage from Axios Charlotte, WhatNow Charlotte, WCCB, The Charlotte Weekly and Charlotte Parent. Bowling centers, arcades, go-kart tracks and mini golf were left out. One location per brand made the list, and venues that could not show 2026 evidence of being open were left out, along with two announced parks that have not opened yet. No business paid to be included. Prices and hours were last checked on October 29, 2026.
