Charlotte Checkers Home Opener
Two games, Oct. 16 and 17 · Bojangles Coliseum
The AHL Checkers open the home schedule with back to back games against the Hartford Wolf Pack at Bojangles Coliseum. The Checkers have been one of the league’s stronger teams the last few seasons, and the roster is the top prospects one call away from the NHL, which means the players you see in October may be on television by March.
The Coliseum is a 1955 building with a low roof and a loud crowd, and it is the cheapest professional sports ticket in the city. Opening weekend brings the full production: player introductions, a light show and giveaways, and a second game the next night for anyone who missed Friday.
What to expect
- Back to back home games to open the season
- Hartford Wolf Pack both nights
- Family pricing and easy parking on site
- Promotional nights and giveaways through the season
Schedule
- Fri, Oct. 16 vs. Hartford Wolf Pack, opening night
- Sat, Oct. 17 vs. Hartford Wolf Pack
Plan your visit
Parking is on site and easy, and the building is small enough that the cheap seats are still close. Get there early on opening night for the pregame ceremony.
Good to know
- Bojangles Coliseum is at 2700 East Independence Boulevard, about ten minutes from Uptown.
- Tickets are on the Checkers' site; the club runs family packs and group rates all season.
