The 10 best Pilates studios in Charlotte

Pilates around Charlotte runs from classical studios that teach the method the way Joseph Pilates built it, with private sessions on towers and handcrafted reformers, to music-driven reformer classes in South End and a high-intensity machine workout where the doors lock when class starts. This list covers 10 studios in Charlotte, Matthews, Cornelius, Waxhaw and Lake Wylie, S.C., with in-studio drop-in classes from $25 and published private-lesson rates that top out at $200. Two are national franchises, and seven of the other eight have named local owners. The list is for beginners choosing between a small studio and a franchise, people who want private sessions after an injury or a long break, and regulars looking for a new class. Entries are listed alphabetically, not ranked.

How we chose

Each studio on this list showed 2026 activity: a live class schedule, prices updated in 2026, dated fall 2026 events or a website rebuilt this year. Picks are based on how long each studio has taught, who teaches there where that is published, class size caps, the equipment and methods used, and coverage from Axios Charlotte and Charlotte Agenda. Prices and class details come from the studios’ own websites. Locally owned studios got preference, and franchises were held to two. Lagree and other high-intensity chains were left out, with one exception: CORE 704, a locally owned Charlotte company whose own FAQ calls the method inspired by Pilates. Studios that are not open yet, or that could not show 2026 activity, were also left out. No studio paid to be included. Prices and hours were last checked on November 6, 2026.
